Personal Statement

My collegiate goal is to go a University that can allow me to earn a degree in engineering.  I am a good candidate for your team because I know that it takes hard work to succeed and I will do my best for you.  I have been a 3 to 4 sport athlete since I was four. This year I participated in five sports in high school (football, hockey, soccer, high school wrestling, and freestyle wrestling) My goal has been to maintain a 4.0 grade point average. I have been able to do this since 6th grade, and so far have had a 4.0 in high school. I take advanced classes in math, and language arts.

I work with my dad during the spring, summer, and fall, for our family business, which is an excavation company.  I can run all of our equipment from excavators, skid steers, compactors, and loaders.  I run my own job sites at times.

In hockey, even though defense used to be my specialty, my coaches have used me at all positions because I work hard, can stir things up, and I am able to listen to what they tell me to do and follow through. Currently I am a dual sport athlete as wrestling and hockey overlap.

As a sophomore last year, I wrestled at 160 pounds and placed third at state.

I played soccer for the first time in high school this past Spring (2019) and started for varsity as the midfielder. We won the state championship.

In football this year I was a starting outside linebacker, starting full back, and I was on the kick off return and punt team.

I am respectful and know how to be responsible, focused, and I am self-motivated to do my best.
