Personal Statement
I love football! I have watched my older brother play football since I could remember. My Mom was a teacher and I had the opportunity to be on the field (on the other side of the end zone) and watch this game up close. As soon as I was old enough to play flag, I did. I have played this game every season since I was 5 years old. Being groomed and guided by numerous coaches throughout the years has allowed me to understand this game from all different angles. I love discussions about football with my Dad, brother and uncles. They have so much valuable input!
Over the years, I have tried to implement what I have been taught. I realize that not only did it make my coaches proud, but it made me a better player. All I know is that I want to be coached to my full potential. It would be amazing to connect my IQ with my ultimate skill level. I am very humble and I love to learn! Football helps to make me a better player and a better person by teaching me to be focused on a goal.
It was a tough decision to transfer schools in the middle of my high school career. After discussing it with my family, we decided to make the move. Unfortunately, I had to sit out half of my Junior year. That was the hardest thing I ever had to do. However, I know how dedicated I am to this game and how eager I was to get out there when it was time. Transferring schools not only allowed me to be in a conference with elevated competition, but it was more challenging academically. Working hard over the summer and through the pandemic, I stayed focused and have maintained at least a 3.5 GPA. I want to pursue my degree in Business and/or Technology. I look forward to next level.....football and academics!
