Personal Statement
The mental and physical demands of football require self-discipline, persistence and leadership - all skills I've acquired through our successful program at Bryant High School. As someone who barely saw the field as a freshman, I worked hard to improve my mobility, strength and knowledge of the game. That hard work helped me secure the starting spot at right tackle prior to the season, during which our team was ranked as high as 12th in the nation. Proving my skills during our undefeated state championship run, I received All-Conference honors, and was named to the All-State Underclassman team. My success on the field is mirrored by my success in the classroom - I will serve on Student Senate my Junior year, hold a 3.9 GPA and have an ACT score of 29. As a college athlete, I expect to develop knowledge, skills and relationships that will last a lifetime. I intend to major in medical sciences, attend medical school and pursue a career in medicine following graduation. I am confident that with my athletic and academic prowess I will not only succeed, but thrive, on the collegiate level.
