Justin Gomez '23 Recruiting Profile

As the youngest of three, I was always told that if my older brothers didn't make it to the next level I would be the one to do it. I'm a junior born and raised in Springdale, Arkansas. With Salvadorian parents, I was raised in a Spanish/English mixed household. I am class of 2023, currently holding a 3.38 GPA, 5'9, and 190 lbs. I am a dual athlete with soccer being the sport I grew up playing. I started on the varsity football team my junior year, 2021/2022, and have been on the varsity soccer team since my sophomore year. 

As a goalkeeper, my leg strength has been something that was always beyond those on the other teams. My leg strength, mixed with countless hours of practice on the perfect kicking form was a perfect equation for distance, consistency, and accuracy.  My Longest in-game field goal: 49. My longest ever: 58. kickoff distance average: 60+. Longest kickoff: 75. 

Came into the team as a kickoff specialist, and eventually ended up working my way to PAT and field goal specialist as well. What sets me apart from other kickers is my dedication to not only kicking but also to the classroom. Before I was a kid just getting through school, but now I tie school and sports together. the perfect balance to me is a kicker that is consistent, accurate, powerful but also competent and well-behaved in the classroom.
