Matthew Shelly '25 Recruiting Profile

As a student athlete I love to challenge myself in both academics and athletics. I always push myself and my team to reach our goals and I enjoy leading others to success. I love the feeling of bettering myself, the strict discipline of my training schedule, and the camaraderie of a team. I was born in South Africa and moved to the US during Elementary School. Running was a common sport and provided me opportunities to make like-minded friends. My collegiate aspirations are to continue to learn and grow, on the track, in the classroom and as an individual. I will continue to measure my performance and push for improvements. I aim to make the most of this unique time before I step into a career and I am looking for a coach and team that share my passion, positive attitude, determination and love of the sport.
