Derrek Meek '16 Recruiting Profile

First and foremost, my name is Derrek Meek, I am a senior at Hanford High School in California. I am beginning my 2nd year on varsity as Middle Linebacker, and have continued to raise the bar to become a collegiate athlete. My goals and aspirations in football as well as life consists of Working everyday to both great on the field and in the classroom. It has been a goal and a dream for many years to become a college athlete and feel there is nothing from stopping me from becoming that person. I have experienced success and have driven myself to unknown bounds being a two sport scholar athlete. My one major goal is to be the best athlete I can be, I bring Hard work and Determination everyday as well as dedication. I bring the will and the drive to push not just myself but the people around me. I feel I am a great candidate for any team based on my drive, and determination, coming from a small school the drive to become something is what fuels you everyday. I also am a extremely hard worker both on the field and in the classroom. I am different from the other recruits because of my perseverance and determination, I am determined to succeed and drive myself to no limits, I have the will to achieve any goal I have in life and this is a major goal. Finally, I am a really hard worker in the classroom and achieve A's and B's through out my school years. I was raised and preached hard work pays off, and it begins in the classroom and on the field.
