My love for football started at a very early age. As an infant my mom strapped me into the infant carrier and took me to my first USC game. Being season ticket holders football has always been a part of my life. At the age of five I started playing flag football. The first time I saw the local Pop Warner team practicing in their helmets and pads I told my mom, “that’s what I want to do”. Twelve years later I am still playing the game I love.
Football is more than a game to me. As a quarterback it has allowed me to develop my leadership, communication and motivational skills. I thrive on being able to rally my team together to work towards a common goal. When I throw a touchdown pass to a person on my team that normally does not get a chance to make a big play, or when we beat a team that we were not favored to beat, I feel such a sense of accomplishment. I want to be part of a “football brotherhood” that is ready to work hard and win championships. A program that will foster unity, passion and pride.
Outside of football I enjoy fishing, Spike Ball and Basketball. Over the last 5 years I have volunteered over 250 hours in my community. Some of the areas I have helped are: feeding the homeless, helping local schools, providing relief to families that have had fires wipe out their communities but the number one way I like to give back is coaching for non-profit football teams. I have volunteered several hours coaching local youth teams in the game I love. To be able to pass on the knowledge and love for the game that my past coaches have given to me is really rewarding.
I want to attend a college that has a solid football program as well as an academic program that will challenge me and prepare me for the future. I train year round so that I can be stronger, faster, smarter and at the top of my game. I study hard to achieve academic excellence. I am open to all opportunities and have the ultimate goal of finding the program that best matches my abilities and allows me to play at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all of my peers and make the program I end up playing for proud.
