I started playing tackle football in sixth grade. Instead of waiting for the game to come to me, I joined a youth league team and traveled by public transportation to games and to the practice field five nights a week, sometimes traveling 90 minutes to two hours each way. When a fractured finger sidelined me during my rookie pee-wee season, I continued to take buses to observe practices and learn from my teammates and coaches.
I’m a student of the game.
As a 11th grader at University High School, I play safety and I’m on kickoff. Although it’s a lot easier to get to the high school practice field, summer practices are on me. I take two buses to and from the field. I never miss a practice.
My goal is to play college-level football. During the off season, I run track for University High School.
