Luis Rodriguez '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Luis Rodriguez and I am an incoming senior at Verdugo Hills High School. My goal is to play at the next level at a D2 or better school. When I was younger I played soccer and noticed that I had a stronger leg than the others. Sophomore year, I joined the football team and picked up kicking pretty easily. I have motivated myself to become a better player through my experiences at camps and working long hours during practice. As a result, I can hit a clean ball off the ground, quickly recover the ball, and have a 60-yard range. I would make an excellent candidate to your team because I train hard and alway focus on my skills. I always try to build my own skills and better them to accomplish the best results during a game. As an athlete, I can provide strong kickoffs, drive the ball into the end-zone with good hang time, and I can also punt. I feed off my coaches feedback and my teammates hard work. Being a student-athlete comes with hard work on the field, but also academically. My current academic interest is business, I enjoy learning about stocks and I continue to work on adding to my business knowledge.
