Hello my name is Daniel Campos and I have a passion for playing the game of football. I am now working hard to channel that passion for football and use it as a tool to earn an athletic scholarship, and further my education. As for my accomplishments on the field, I am most proud of being a CIF champion. During my sophomore season I started 14 games at middle linebacker for the CIF Champion La Serna Lancers. At the conclusion of this season I was named the CIF Southern Section Defensive Player of the Year. I was also named to the San Gabriel Valley All Area team as the Newcomer of the year. I was also honored to be selected to the Del Rio All-league team. And finally, my coaches selected me as the La Serna Lancers Varsity Rookie of the Year.
My junior season started with a great honor as my teammates elected me as a team captain. I was also selected as a Cal hi sports All-state nominee. Unfortunately, an ankle injury forced me to miss six games during the season. I recovered in time for the playoffs with the goal of leading the La Serna Lancers to a fourth consecutive CIF title game. We fell one game short of the championship, losing in the semifinals. Even though we fell just short but couldn't have been prouder of my team's playoff run. We were able to beat a previously undefeated and number one ranked St. Francis team. I finish the season being selected to both All-area and All-league teams. I was also honored by my coaches at La Serna by being selected as the Defensive MVP.
I am now healthy and very hungry for my senior season. I have two goals for my final high school season. First, I want to lead for the La Serna Lancers back to the CIF championship and finish my high school career as a two-time CIF Champion. Second, I want to play at my highest level so I can earn a scholarship and continue playing football at the collegiate level. If you feel am a good match for your program, please contact me and thank you for looking at my profile.
