Nashawn Jinks '18 Recruiting Profile

I am Nashawn Jinks.

Growing up where I'm from is tough and making it out is something I always talked about with my best friend Jericho Scott. Jericho was gunned down April 19th,2015 just hours after us hanging out which set me down a bad path. I didn't stick with what I knew which was sports and that in turn turned my world upside down. I lost my starting spot, started flunking in school and even at one point didn't care about life. But, something told me that wasn't right, Jericho wouldn't want that. So I got up and am currently in the process of righting all my wrongs. Building friendships that I destroyed, rebuilding my GPA and even getting my starting spot back. In middle school I played with CJ Lewis & my older brother Duane Rodgers who are now both division 1 athletes which gave me and even better outlook on life. They inspired me to be great and that's exactly what I intend to do. In college, in sports and in life in general.
