Getting to start last year on our Varsity program opened my eyes to how much I really do love football and being out in front of all the fans. I feel that my setbacks my freshman year really drove me away from the sport (I severed my tendon in my hand early in the season & later fractured my fibula playing in the O-D Bowl). I worked hard to overcome it and am now more determined than ever to be a leader on my team and do what it takes to get us to the state championship with our new coach and great teammates.
Last year I had a great season, starting in every game, and was awarded the Rising Eagle Award for our team. I also made the second all-area team. Some achievements I have gotten since then is now reaching the 1,000-pound club in our weightlifting program and also getting in the 300 bench club as well. I am looking for a school where I can fit in to help the team, while challenging me academically to prepare me for success in the real world. I feel what is different about me from most athletes is the ability to always show and do my best no matter the circumstances. I have great determination and work ethic and will be there supporting my team no matter what. I'm always ready to hear what the coaches tell me so I can improve and do the most for my team no matter what position they put me at.
