Joshua Perry '25 Recruiting Profile

I am a fierce competitor and perfectionist.  I think these are the two traits that set me apart from most other players.  I am willing to put in the work to not just to get it right, but to get it perfect.  As a RB, I am quick, fast, strong and physical.  I am blessed with God-given vision to see the entire field and running lanes, and have patience to set up blocks.  I pride myself on making the first tackler miss, and then getting yards after contact.  What sets me apart from most RBs is my ability to catch the ball having played in the slot as a WR early as a freshman and sophomore on varsity.  I also have God-given ability to accelerate in and out of cuts.  I am a student of the game, and I understand pass protection schemes and how to read defensive fronts.  My father played pro football with the Tampa Bay Bucs (linebacker) and at UNC-Chapel Hill (Tar Heels) in college.  He has taught me how to study film and understand defensive responsibilities in run support and pass coverage, which gives me a distinct advantage as a player in blitz pickup, run blocking and route running.  In the class room I am an "A" student and have the time management skills necessary to handle the rigors of major college football.  Most importantly, I love the game of football and have a burning desire to play at the next level.  My motor is evident in my film and I believe I would be an asset and leader in any college program that signs me.
