Personal Statement:
Hello, my name is David Manning-Francis, but I go by Larry. I am from Palm Bay, Florida, and I am a proud member of the class of 2025 at Bayside High School. I have a deep passion for football, which has been a part of my life since I was five years old. My dream is to continue pursuing my love for the game at the collegiate level.
I've always been a versatile player, having experience in multiple positions, such as running back, linebacker, defensive back, and wide receiver/wingback. This flexibility on the field has allowed me to gain a well-rounded understanding of the game and develop a unique set of skills.
Throughout my football journey, I've been fortunate to receive training from an ex-defensive back from the University of Central Florida (UCF). This invaluable experience has not only improved my technical abilities but also enhanced my understanding of the game's intricacies. My time spent training as a Running back has instilled in me a profound knowledge of offensive strategies and tactics. I'm also confident in my skills as a defensive back and wide receiver, which adds to my adaptability on the field.
In addition to my on-field skills, I take my academics seriously. I maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above, demonstrating my commitment to both my education and the sport. I am eagerly looking forward to joining a D1 school where I can continue to develop my football talents while pursuing a higher education. I am open to exploring opportunities at various D1 schools that align with my academic goals and offer a strong football program.
Standing at 5 feet 9 inches and weighing 155 pounds, I may not be the biggest player on the field, but my dedication, work ethic, and versatility more than make up for it. I am ready to give my all, both on and off the field, to achieve my dream of playing college football.
I am excited about the future and the possibility of contributing to a collegiate football program. I am committed to hard work, discipline, and teamwork, and I believe that my diverse skill set, love for the game, and dedication make me an ideal candidate for your program. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to be a part of a team that shares my passion for the game and my commitment to excellence.
