I am Nasir Hassan! I knew that I was in love with football at two different times in my life. The first time I was an eight year old. The coaches told us to pick the biggest player and go "toe to toe." Once I had the the player that almost doubled my size on his back and the coaches went wild, I knew that this was MY game. My father made sure that my brother and I played three sports (baseball, football, and basketball) until we knew what we absolutely loved. The second time I knew I was in love with football was as a seventh grader when I played the position of Receiver for the first time. Once I caught my first touchdown, I fell in love all over again. Football is life!
My parents have always made it crystal clear that being a scholar was first and foremost. Therefore, I always knew that making the grades and going to college was non negotiable. After earning my bachelor's degree in Marine Biology, I will receive a Doctorate degree as well in this field. I finished my junior year with a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (3.7 for the spring semester). In college, I plan to maintain a 3.5 g.p.a. and continue to work hard to reach my personal best as a Wide Receiver. I am an asset to any team because I do whatever it takes to be better than I was the previous year. Sacrifice is key and going the extra mile even after team practice is what drives me. My work ethic is unbelievable and I have always put what's best for the team as my main priority.
I am humble by nature but when I'm on the field, I'm on a whole other level! My physicality and playmaking ability gives me a skilled advantage. I have the mindset it takes to manage the classroom and football successfully! Most importantly I am coachable and I always strive for improvement.
