My interest in football was sparked a little later in life than most. I took a leap of faith and decided to try something new. Once I had a feel for the game, there was no turning it off. I am a strong believer in my faith and I understand that all things happen exactly when and how it is suppose to happen. I am an ever evolving student of this game and I am captivated with the fact that this game is not short of its share of challenges and adversity, which makes the reward that much sweeter.
I was able to discovered something that I both excel in and something that I am passionate about. Football ignites resounding passion and requires the upmost accountability. I find support in my brothers as we come together with one mind, one common goal. Playing this game has helped increase my confidence and assists in developing life skills that aid in my continued growth.
In addition to my responsibilities in the classroom, my home, and community, football is considered a job. I am dedicated during the season and during the off season. Daily workouts, weight training, and speed training. I am a coachable, committed, self starter; an individual who puts in the work to not only better myself, but to serve in a leadership capacity and lead others to better themselves. I learned the value of leadership, toughness, sacrifice, and to play the next play regardless of the situation. I was blessed to be part of a great team, with a talented coaching staff. I earned a starting spot on defense my sophomore year and we were able to win a state championship title for the first time in our schools history.
I am searching for a college that’s a great fit for me academically, morally and athletically. I have worked hard to keep a balance in my academics and sports. I believe my current high school experience aids in preparing me for the next level. I am eager to advance in my goals of graduating college, advancing in leadership skills, education and growing in my passion of playing collegiate football.
