Derek Checketts '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Derek Checketts and I have dreamed of going to college and also playing football at the collegiate level since I was about 6 or 7 years old.  I have been playing football since I was 7 and the coaches I have had along the way instilled a work ethic that will stay with me in everything I do.  I am a firm believer that what you get out of something is what you are willing to put in.  I try to give 110% in everything I do in life.  When I am not playing football I also have been on the varsity wrestling team to stay in shape and work on balance which brought me to place in state 3 years in a row.  I want to get a degree from college and along the way I would love to continue my football career as I pursue that college degree.  I work as hard  as I can and push the limits to achieve my goals.
