Faith, Family, Football, Education. That's how I prioritize my goals and life.
Faith- I attend church every Sunday, and look for opportunities to serve others- my family, my team and my community. My faith helps me to remember that the most important things in life are not tangible, they are the intangibles- my relationship with God, my mom, my dad, my coaches, my teammates, my teachers, my mentors, my community, and how I treat each of them. I seek to contribute more than I take so that I can build those around me.
Family- My family is very important to me. Both my mom and dad are influential in my decisions, but because they trust me they also encourage me to act and think independently. We spend most weekends together at football games, volleyball games, sports activities, watching movies, singing Karaoke, playing board games, or traveling. My mom and dad call it "Family time" and I enjoy the time out of my busy football and school schedule even if it is with my crazy younger siblings.
Football- As a freshman, I started as an Offensive Lineman on the Rigby Football team, and will accumulate 4 years of Varsity experience by graduation. I am a junior this year (2023 season).
Previous to this 2023 season our Rigby High School team has won the 2021 & 2022 5A state championships, and I've been selected as a First Team All Conference and Second Team All State Offensive Lineman. I am grateful for this honor, as I've been training for football since I was very young.
My earliest days of training included running on the beach where I grew up in Kahuku, Hawaii. Training for football was a way of life in Kahuku, it still is today. Our family lived there until we moved to Idaho a few years ago and that mentality of "Go Hard or Go Home" has never left me. I continue to train all year long in the off-season as a member of the Elite OFFA Lineman team in Utah. My dad and I drive 4 hours one way to practice every weekend from January to May in the snow. In the summer I attend football camps at universities to meet coaches and gain experience.
Education is also very important to me. I am enrolled in a program that partners with our local community college so that I can earn an Associate's Degree upon my high school graduation. I understand that these college credits may not transfer to my future university, but I want to pursue the Associate's degree because it is difficult. I believe I can do hard things and I continue to pursue paths that will stretch my limits and maximize my potential. Currently, there are no other football players on my team enrolled in this program.
I am excited to play at the next level and add value to a football program that can appreciate the contributions I can bring to their team. I look forward to meeting coaches and recruiters looking for a developed, disciplined, respectful, committed, and coachable player like myself. Thank you for your time and consideration!
