Personal Statement

My name is Jake Izzo, and it is my dream to play college football. I’ve played many sports in my life, but football is the one I’ve really stuck with. As a player I play a key roll in the 2020 class of varsity football. I am a versatile player, and I’ve played outside linebacker in a 3-4 and am currently playing D line in a 4-3, and learned how to long-snap. Weighing in at 6’ and 200 lbs I am explosive off the ball and have no trouble getting into the backfield. As I am approaching my Junior year I have been thinking in the early stages about where I want to go to college, and what I want to do. Ideally my goal is to play D-I or D-II football for a program that can help me develop as a defensive player. Although I set my goals to play at a bigger school, I’d be open to play at many schools in the country even outside my home state of Illinois.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
