Joshua Vargas '20 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a Junior at Lincoln Way East High School in Frankfort, Illinois and on the Varsity Football team that went 12-1.  My Freshman and Sophomore years I was All Conference at Corner/Safety and our teams were 9-0 both years.  I was also the Team Captain for both years, and for the 2017 8a playoffs, I was pulled up onto the varsity team, who won the class 8a Illinois State Championship.   I have been a successful QB, RB, Corner/Safety, WR and Special Teams Punt Returner for all 3 years. 

My Collegiate goals are to attend a 4 year University and play for a top notch coaching staff and football team!   I am a very versatile player and have been training for almost five years at "Throw it Deep" QB and WR Academy with Coach Jeff Christianson and Coach TK Ehlebracht.   Both Coach Christianson and Coach Ehlebracht say that I have some of the best techniques for my age.   I have also played on a 7-7 team as the QB, WR, and CB.   I'm currently training on my speed, footwork, acceleration and explosiveness.  As you can see, I am dedicated to training and will do what it takes to make me a better player to benefit the team.  

Academics

I currently have a 3.5/4.00 GPA and I am an Honor Roll student. I understand that education comes before anything else, and that is why I continue work hard in the classroom.  I would like to get the best education possible to pursue my career goals while playing football at the Collegiate level.
