Kolten Heberling '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kolten Heberling. I am a senior at North Greene High School. I first started playing football competitively when I was just 10 years old. From that point, I soon realized that football was more than just a game to me. It truly is my passion. As I've grown older, I've had dreams and aspirations of extending my football career beyond the high school level. Now that I am a senior, I know that it is time to start the process of turning my goals into reality. There are many traits that set me aside from most kids. First of all, I am an extremely hard worker both on and off the field. This is evident both in the classroom, and within my community. At school, my grades have always been my number one priority. I realize that if I want to pursue my lifelong dream of playing at the collegiate level, I have to do the work in the classroom. Currently, I carry a 4.53 GPA and was just inducted into the National Honor Society. Within my community, I actively volunteer for many projects. I believe that this is where my excellent leadership qualities, my ability to build strong relationships, and my overall dedication to hard work come into play. Therefore, I think that I have a work ethic that cannot be matched, and I feel that I would be a valuable asset to any team and college. As far as on the field, I am always looking for ways to better myself both during the season and in the offseason. About 2 years ago, I started weightlifting using a very stringent program. This has helped me to gain strength and speed on the field. I have been a member of the Varsity Football Team since I was a freshman and have earned letters every year. I have been a starter for the past two years. This past year our team made the state playoffs. I was voted the team's Offensive MVP. I was also selected to the WIVC All Conference Team, Honorable Mention All Area Team, and lead the conference in most yards gained per carry. As I strive to continue my success this year, I am also preparing for the future. I know that there are many great opportunities that await me, and I can't wait for my next adventure.
