Personal Statement
Playing volleyball over the years I’ve realized volleyball is not only fun but it’s my future. I have so many dreams when it comes to volleyball. I dream of playing overseas, going D1, being on varsity, being player of the year and so much more. I know with the amount of work I put into school and volleyball, I will have so many opportunities.
Dedication is what makes me a great candidate on and off the court. When it comes to training/working out & practice, I use every opportunity to become a better athlete. I’ve worked very hard to do so. I have been to camps, early morning workouts, and my dad has trained me to be the best. I have (especially) used this summer to work on my athletic ability and train to make varsity on my high school team.
Sports play a big role in my life as well as academics. That’s why I make sure I prioritize both.
I strive to have the opportunity to receive an athletic and or academic college scholarship. Going into high school I knew if I wanted a scholarship, it would require hard work and good grades. I finished my freshman year with a 4.7 GPA with no honors and all A’s. I am now recommended for honors going into my sophomore year.
I would say what separates me from other athletes is that I know there’s always going to be someone better than me, but I know they will never work as hard as I do. Many people can jump higher than me and/or hit harder than me naturally, but I work extremely hard to improve my game. Nothing ever comes easy, and that is why I love my sport. I would love to leave high school going D1 on a full scholarship, but I know in order to do so I have to give volleyball my all. I will continue to work as hard as I can and do what I need to do to be the best there is. I hope to accomplish everything I have dreamed of and worked towards by the end of my volleyball career.
