My name is Austin Bryant and I am a current senior at Lutheran High School of Indianapolis. We are currently the Number 2 team in 1A in the state of Indiana. I start on both sides of the ball. I play Wide receiver, and I am an athlete on defense playing multiple positions as needed. I play both free safety and our hybrid position which is a strong safety. I am the number 1 receiver on offense for a run heavy team. I am a good rout runner and open on every pass play. I am also a great down field blocker! On the second play from scrimmage during our first game I broke a bone in my hand. I finished the game and was named the defensive back of the game by my coaches prior to knowing about the severity of my break. I had surgery on 8/22/17 to repair my hand and it required 4 screws. My coaches named me a student coach for the DB's and wide receivers and I embrace this role to see football from a different perspective and grow my leadership abilities. I plan to be released and back to full contact football in time for the playoffs and a run at a state championship. I understand that due to my injury my recruitment moving forward will be limited. I can assure you that I am a great player that puts the teams’ needs before my own. If you are not interested in me due to the injury I totally understand. Given the right atmosphere I know I will be an all American in college and someone you will have to pre-game for if you are playing against me. I am currently inundated with game day visits and cannot possibly attend all of them. I am only interested in teams that are a good "fit" for me and that are willing to “take a chance” on me with my injury. I am a great student in a very difficult private curriculum and will be an asset to any school and team I am with.
