Being the youngest of four brothers, I learned early on the importance of toughness, perseverance, confidence, and hard work. From them, I learned to get back up when I failed and how to work harder to achieve my goals. These earliest lessons helped me form the foundation of being not only a three sport athlete, but also a strong leader on and off the field. Football has always been my favorite sport. I love the toughness and complexity of it and I love being able to hit. I love the comradery that develops through fighting together to achieve the same goal. I value the character that results from repeatedly enduring hits and getting up to continue playing.
I am confident not only in the athletic ability I bring to the playing field, but more importantly the unwavering work ethic, leadership, character, humility, respect and commitment to my team, my school and my community. This is evident by the multiple coaches’ nominated leadership awards I have received, such as the Karl Damon Andrews Heart and Soul Memorial Scholarship (sophomore), The Royal Player of the Year (junior), The Circle City Conference Fall Sport Character Award Winner for Roncalli HS (junior) and team captain in track (junior). I was also chosen by the teachers to be a Roncalli Shadow Host for grade school students interested in attending Roncalli, was nominated by the seniors to be the next student coordinator for the David Moore Food Pantry and was most recently elected student council Co-President of Student Relations. In addition to my athletic skills and leadership, my academic work has always been a top priority. After fighting through online learning during COVID, every semester I have been on the honor roll while playing three sports, working a part-time job, volunteering and taking honors classes. The past two semesters, I have achieved high honors with a semester GPA of 4.0+ in honors classes and currently have a 3.8/4.0 cumulative GPA. I would like to study history with the goal of becoming a teacher, coach and ultimately a college professor.
