Personal Statement
My collegiate goals are to be at school where I can play football and major in fine arts. I want to be at a school that will better me on the field and as a man. I am a good candidate because I have great energy and will bring true grit to any team. I am a coachable player and want feedback to make myself better. I am unique from other recruits because I can adapt to just about any setting and am comfortable in almost any environment. My family has exposed me to all types of cultures and settings so I have the ability to adapt easily off the field a well as on. I play football, wrestle, run track and am a performer in my school’s show choir and had the leading role in the school musical. I am confident in myself and will bring that along with leadership to any team. I am different athletically because I take the experience I have being a multi sport athlete and use that to my advantage. Being a multi sport athlete and performer, I have had to learn time management, discipline and know I must have love for what I do to be great. I don't know many guys my age who can juggle theater practice, football practice and games along with making my school work a priority and making sure I also get my service hours done. I managed show choir competition season and the state wrestling series, simultaneously, and successfully ended my wrestling season placing 5th in the State. I do this all and do it because I have passion for what I do and a desire to be great. Academically, when I focus on what I need to do, I get it done. I have proven that this semester by raising all of my grades and GPA significantly. I am also not afraid to ask for help when I need it. I know that I will represent any team with character and class because that is how I was raised and how I plan to handle myself on and off the field.
