I'm Nick and I've always known I want to play college sports. I've grown up playing competitive/travel baseball, wrestling and football since age 5. It was difficult for me to decide which college sport to focus on as I've enjoyed success in all three arenas. In wrestling I was a State AAU champ at ages 10 and 14.
I attend a 5A school, which is the biggest class in Iowa. I've always loved football, having my dad coach me and my friends. I was asked to start as the varsity Right Guard the summer after 8th grade and played every snap that first season. My decision was made and the sport has become my passion and primary focus. I still participate in the other sports mostly because I'm competitive, but I know they help make me a stronger all around athlete. Although I'm only starting my sophomore season, I'm a leader on a tough, talented O-line.
At school and in my community I'm looked as a leader and hold myself to a high standard and like to bring others along with me. I participate in my church youth group, volunteer in community activities and youth sports camps.
I'm interested in studying Physical Therapy or Sports Management for a career path. Whatever direction I pursue will involve athletes, teams, camaraderie, workouts, discipline and a constant desire to improve.
Please see my stats and video and be sure to follow me as I add to my story in the upcoming season.
