The benefits that I have received from my years of athletics are immeasurable. I have learned leadership and teamwork to name a few. I enjoy helping my teammates achieve goals that they thought were unattainable. Even if my team doesn't win, helping a teammate achieve a personal goal is a victory all on its own. I believe that even the most talented athletes should work to improve themselves. Because of my desire to continually improve, I work year round so that I can be the best athlete possible. I attend a very small school so I feel that I need to work that much harder to get noticed by colleges. Because my school is so small, I have had the opportunity to play every position on the field and that has given me a much deeper understanding of the game. I have first hand knowledge of what is required of each position. Because I might be called to play a different position if the situation arises, I also have to know the plays for everyone on the field so that I can be an asset to the team wherever I may be asked to play. I plan to major in either engineering or architecture as I have always acceled at mathematics. I am open to playing at any school that will provide me with the opportunity to make a difference and form life long relationships with my coaches and fellow players. My family consists of 4 biological children and 3 former foster children that we have adopted. Because of this, I hope to help with my college expenses by applying for financial aid and, hopefully, with an athletic scholarship. This year I received first team all league honors for kick off returner, defensive back, and running back. I am 6 foot 2 inches tall and weigh 176 pounds. My latest timed 40 yard dash was 4.32 seconds, pro-agility run was 3.8 seconds, and my standing vertical jump was 38.5 inches. I am also a record holder in the long jump and triple jump. I hope to play at the highest level of competition possible so that I can constantly be challeged to improve.
