Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Phillip (Phil) White. I am a 3-sport student athlete at my high school. The football season has ended.

  • My summary of varsity football accomplishments are vast:
    • 4-Year Varsity Letterman
    • 4-Year Varsity Starter (Punter since freshman)
    • 4-Position Starter last 2 years (Safety, Receiver, Punter, & Kicker)
    • All-State Team (Kpreps 2016 Class 5A) – Punter (37.9 yard average on 40 punts in 2016)
    • All-Centennial League – 2nd Team – Punter (2016)
      • All-Centennial League – Honorable Mention – Defensive Back (2015 & 2016)
    • All-City – Honorable Mention (2015 & 2016)
    • Team – Special Teams Player of the Year (2015 & 2016)
      • Team – Ken Caywood Courage Award (2016)

I also play varsity basketball & baseball. I have received at this point, 2 varsity letters in basketball, & 2 varsity letters in baseball. I am currently projected to start in the outfield & be in the pitching rotation in baseball.

I am a student-athlete. I currently have a 3.75 GPA (weighted). My coursework puts me on pace to meet the NCAA Eligibility Center guidelines for Division1. I have already received an NAIA Eligibility Center Early Decision-Eligible status. I am a member of the National Honor Society, & serve as President at our school. I have been selected to the All-Academic Team for the Topeka Invitational (basketball) Tournament twice (2016 & 2017), requiring a cumulative 3.5 GPA.

I plan to major in Art Education at college & become a high school art teacher at my current high school in the future. I plan to have the sport of football help defray the costs of my college education.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
