Personal Statement
As a sophomore you may not think I have learned much in my football career. But that isn’t true. Since I began my football career in the third grade I have learned a lot from my highs and lows. One thing I learned at a young age is that you are never too good to learn. I later learned that although size is a big factor of a lineman it doesn’t mean anything without speed and technique. I also learned that a big factor of a great player is mental toughness. I learned also that although you may compete between teammates the bonds you make are important. In a four wheeler wreck that almost ended my life in 2016; I thought constantly about my team. The next week when I went to school to see my teammates they all told me that they were there for me. The bonds between players and coaches are unbreakable.
I’ve had a lot of accomplishments over the years including district champs and bench pressing over 300lbs but also some of my bigger ones are having a 3.8 GPA and being in all honors classes. The work day to day isn’t only important on the field but also in the classroom. I believe I am fit to be on any football team because I'm not only strong physically but also mentally and I have a strong desire to win.
