As a multi-sport athlete, I have grown and learned a lot through football, basketball, baseball and track. Each sport has taught me many life lessons that have helped me manage things on and off the fields, court and track. Although my teammates may change each year and vary between sports, my teammates will always be considered a brotherhood for many years to come. Every man on the field, court or track have to work together to achieve ONE goal. That goal is to succeed and be the best man you could be on and off the playing field. Winning is an added bonus. I depend on my brothers as much as they depend on me to progress mentally and physically as a successful athlete. There will always be a simultaneous competition with and against my fellow teammates in every sport I put my heart to. Being a part of the sports I am involved in has taught me to work with and respect a lot of different types of people, some who are just like me, some who are very different from me, and some who are still trying to find themselves, which will always be valued in all aspects of life.
Sitting in the stands, watching me drive through the line or dribble the ball, are my four parents and four siblings. In addition to my four siblings in the stands, I have the opportunity to call one of my siblings my teammate. My family is a big part of my success on and off the field or court. Wherever and whenever I am playing, you can bet that my family is there, sitting together, cheering me on. I don't believe I would be the athlete I am today without them supporting me in the ways they do.
Once my high school journey comes to an end, I want to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering. Electrical has always been an interest of mines since I was young. From learning how a circuit works to learning how to put together equipment to make other things run. Growing up in our small community, surrounded by tug boats, supply boats, barges, etc., the navigation systems and radars drew my attention to Electrical Engineering even more in the recent years.
