I fell in love with the game of football at the age of 7. I had the privilege to play for one of the best teams in the city. My coach was a high school coach so I learned the fundamentals correctly from the beginning. This experience has made me an extremely versatile player. I have played inside and outside the box, and rushed off the edge. This made the game much more enjoyable. It has been a dream of mine to play at the college level from a young age.
My family and experiences have made me who I am. I am the middle of 3 boys and am raised in rural area. We live on a farm and raise cattle. I am involved in 4-H and FFA where I participate in contests, and leadership opportunities and show cattle. Almost 3 years ago my family went through a huge obstacle together. Our home was destroyed by Hurricane Laura. The five of us lived in a camper for over a year. Even though my family had endured this devastation we continued to help others around us who had also shared this experience. Through my life experiences and extracurricular activities including football and track I have learned that I can persevere through troubling times. In my freshman year I fractured my femur during the first game of the season. This was heartbreaking, but I continued to support my team while sidelined. I was able to come back my sophomore year and start for the majority of the games. During my junior year my team made school history, we made it to the semi final game. It has taken focus, dedication, and perseverance to accomplish this. Time management is one skill that I have had to master in order to balance football, showing livestock, and maintaining a 4.0.
My goal is to play at the next level for a program that is a great fit for me both athletically and academically. I am looking for a good strong competitive environment where there are coaches to that can push me to be the best version of myself as an athlete and a person.
