Josh Robertson '13 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Josh Robertson. I am a freshman at Loyola College Prep. I play football, lacrosse, and track and field, but I can also play basketball, tennis, and swimming. I am 6'3", 190 lb. In football, I play wide reciever, but we had a shortage of linemen. I am the , biggest, stronest reciever (and we had a surplus of recievers), so our coach moved me to right guard. The perfect position for me would be tight end because I am big and strong and fast. Plus, I have great hands. Although this would be perfect for me, my team runs the spread offense, so we dont use tight ends. I also play defensive end. You probably looked at my statistics and saw that they are not very good, but I have a reason. There were many people going out for the defensive end position, so our coach rotated us all in. I probably averaged a quarter of playing time a game at the defensive end position. I can also play defensive tacle, too. If I work on it, I could also be a quarterback. Anyway, all I am saying is that I can play at any position needed. The most important factor in my decision of where I will attend college is academics. I have a 3.8 GPA and take all honors classes possible. I would like to obtain a degree in law or some form of engineering. I would like to go to a Div. 1 school, but as I said, academics is the most important thing to me, so if that means passing up a D1 school to go to a, say, NAIA school if it has better academics, then I am acceptable to that.
