My mom has been the greatest influence and inspiration as to who I am today. She is a firm believer in continuous learning, doing what makes you happy and has always supported me over the years. I first became interested in sports by watching it on TV with my dad, a former athlete, which motivated me to become active. Through playing sports, I have learned the importance of team, how to take direction and that I am a leader.
In high school, I have maintained academic success with at least a 3.0 or higher, served as a 3D leader/mentor, and football team captain. Becoming involved in extracurricular activities, serves as an example of what a well-rounded student exemplifies. For college, I would like to make the most out of the experience by studying hard to receive a bachelor’s degree.
My football journey has had its ups and down, due to doubters because of injuries in my 10th & 11th grade years. I have been told I was not big enough, I need to eat more, and lift weights. After missing out of my freshman varsity football season due to COVID, I suffered injuries that propelled me to overcome adversity and made me work harder to prove that size does not matter. I worked harder, got stronger, and dominated my senior year. I am strong-minded, determined to prove others wrong and be the best player I can be. It has fueled me to go hard every time I hit the field, while still remaining humble.
