Personal Statement
Updated: March 2021
After a long football break from COVID-19 I'm really looking forward to playing football again and happy to be mentioned in the following article:
H.S. FOOTBALL: 100 players to watch this season (patriotledger.com)
During the break, I've continued to work out and keep my body and mind in shape and ready for football.
I am a 5’10” Offensive Lineman at Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in Easton Massachusetts. I live in Brockton, Massachusetts, and leadership, discipline, and hard work are the three properties that describe me as both a student and an athlete. Family comes first, school is second, and football is third. That goes for all the sports I compete in. These qualities started with me young when I became a black belt at age 10. Two years after that, I joined an excellent football program called Brockton Junior Boxers, a D1 program where we played D1-D2 high school varsity teams in 8th grade, where we went undefeated. Once I made it to high school, I joined another superb football program, the Southeastern Hawks where we went undefeated as freshmen, and I started varsity as a sophomore. I’m first on the field and the last to leave.
I am looking for an institution where I can find the perfect balance of both the classroom and the football field. I want to pursue a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of engineering. I have made a lot of family and brothers for life from football, and I love everything the sport has to offer. I work hard on the field and in the classroom, taking all honors classes and many AP classes; my current GPA is 4.029. I want to become a hardware engineer one day, and I would love to join a program where I can do both, and I would be a shoe-in for any lineman position you need me for. I am eager to learn and ready to play.
Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement!
