I have always been very athletic, but I found the best version of me playing football. The game has taught me so much both on and off the field, including discipline, teamwork, and leadership.
As I approach the next level in my academic career, my goal is to continue to play football at the college level as I work towards pursuing my degree in Exercise Science or Athletic Training. My decision to study Exercise Science was inspired by me breaking my ankle in my junior year of High School. When I broke my ankle, I thought I was done playing. I was in physical pain, but also suffering inside. It tested everything in me, my will, my determination, and my physical ability. However, after months of rehabilitation, I knew that no matter what I decided, sports would always play a role in my life and I made the decision to major in Exercise Science. I returned to have an amazing senior year season and was named Defensive MVP for my team.
