I started playing football my freshman year of high school and since then I have been able to work my way up to becoming the starting varsity tailback by my junior year. In this short amount of time I have fell in love with football, the atmosphere, the coaches, the players, and the fans. There's nothing better than playing under the Friday Night Lights and that has pushed me to pursue playing football at the collegiate level.
I consider myself someone who doesn't talk with words, but rather through their actions. Someone who always looks towards improvement. Someone who is always talking with coaches in practice, at the end, and out of practice on what I can do better. Someone working hard in and out of practice.
I've always focused on becoming a dependable player, a player who won't fumble, a player who may not have tons of amazing breakout runs, but rather a player who prides themselves in their consistent yardage. I would never risk a loss of yards for the potential of seven when I have a guaranteed five in front of me. You will notice from my film I am very north-south runner who tries to take a direct path forward.
In addition to playing football, doing well academically is also important to me. My ADHD has made staying on task and concentrating more difficult, but I feel that even with these difficulties I have excelled. I hope to bring my current ability to balance football and my academics to the college I chose, and become a star on and off the field.
