Patrick Eldred '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a very dedicated and hard working high school athlete and it has been my dream since I was 6 years old to play college football. I have played on our varsity football team since late in my freshman year. I have started since my sophomore year as the middle linebacker. I lead the team, the league and the area this year with 127 tackles improving on last year's 99 total tackles. I have earned all conference honors both athletically and academically all my years as a football player as well as a wrestler. I am a nationally ranked wrestler and have started on the varsity Wrestling Team since I was a freshman, qualifying for regionals my last 2 years. This year I was the only Junior Captain of our wrestling team. I bring with me 110% dedication and focus, and a great sense of the game as I really understand football. I have a big heart and great work ethic, no one works harder than me both during and off season. I am always setting goals for improvement for myself and I work relentlessly to achieve them. I have tremendous coach-ability and a real desire to excel and work hard to be competitive at the next level and to be the best player I can be for both the team and myself. �?� I plan to use the off season and next year to improve to a level so that I may be able to contribute to my college team as a freshman and play at the highest competition level possible. I am 5 feet 11 inches tall and tend to weigh around 200 during football season, I wrestle at 189 or 215 pounds, wherever the team needs me to be so that we can be most successful. I also take great pride in my academics and am meeting and exceeding the Division I and II academic eligibility requirements pursing college prep classes while maintaining a 3.79 GPA. Lastly based on our family size and income I will also qualify for the full pell grant based on the FASFA information. I am excited about my future and know that I can be successful at the college level both athletically and academically and look forward to finding a school that is looking for a student athlete with my abilities both on and off the field.
