My name is Bryce Heim, and I will be a 2015 graduate at Plainview-Elgin-Millville High School. I am 5’10” and weigh 205 pounds. Running back is my primary position, but I am versatile to Defensive End & Tight End and open to being developed at other positions.
I started playing football when I was in the 3rd grade and advanced to varsity my freshman year of high school, lettering grades 9-11. I run the ball with power and determination. My teammates and coaches look to me to establish strong field position and score at crucial moments. My perseverance allows me the ability to be a consistent leader, motivator and a team player on and off the field. I know that I can physically and mentally compete at any level and understand the commitment it takes to be successful.
In 2012, I received All Conference Honorable Mention.
In 2013, I rushed 194 times for 1,150 yards, averaged 5.93 yards per carry, with 11 touchdowns and received the following awards 1) Southern Football Alliance Red All-Division Honors, First Teams; 2) All-Section 1AAA Honors First Team, 3) Offensive MVP Team Award. Additionally, our football team was selected to receive the Class AAA Gold Academic Team Award by the Minnesota Football Coaches Association.
I am a team captain. My athletic goals for this season are to advance to state and be named offensive MVP, All-Section and All-Division first teams. I am dedicated to the weight room on & off season. I run a 4.84 40-yard-dash, bench 235, and squat 350. Verified video can be found on my NCSA profile: http://recruit-match.ncsasports.org/clientrms/profile/recruiting_profile/470510
As of Sept 24th, I am the lead rusher in the SFA Red Division with 81 attempts for 584 yards (7.2 yd average): http://www.postbulletin.com/sports/high_school/football-sfa-red-statistical-leaders/article_1b20874f-ebf3-51d3-8fef-58dc0a8a113f.html
In addition to team camps, I attend many individual camps—at which I’ve received numerous awards/honors. These include being presented with the Running back Award at the Ben Leber Vikings Football Camp & Offense-Defense Camps and an invitation to Top Gun following Football University Camps two consecutive years (2013 & 2014).
I also run Class A varsity track, lettering grades 7-11 (with anticipation of lettering again my senior year). Our 4x100 relay team went to state in 2014, placing 3rd place in Finals with a time of 44.44 seconds.
Academically, I maintain a 3.7 GPA and have been awarded Academic Excellence grades 7-11. My ACT score is 24, with plans to retest.
I continually strive to be a better person on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.
On a personal level, I enjoy hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and building/driving cars in demolition derbies
I take football very seriously and would like to continue playing football at the collegiate level. I work hard, play with an edge, am eager to learn, and am very coachable. My dream is of someday making it to the NFL
I have been raised with a strong work ethic, to set/achieve goals, to be a good role model, to take responsibility for my actions, and to be respectful. Those characteristics will help me continue to play at the next level.
I am open to schools in any part of the country, as well as walking-on at a program if it was a good fit. I am undecided on a major but am strongly leaning towards physical therapy/sports medicine because I would like to continue working with athletes/sports.
My athletic goals for my collegiate career are to play against great competition, challenge myself physically, contribute and make a difference in the program, and help my team win football games.
I am honored that you reviewed my profile, which I will continue to update. I look forward to speaking with you to further discuss opportunities at your school.
Thanks,
Bryce Heim
