Gerald Shepherd '19 Recruiting Profile

When I first started playing football which was in 2011, I have to admit I was scared I didn't know what I was doing I was scared to hit. But once I got that first big hit , I Instantly fell in love.

I've been playing football every year since then. Football is the outlet to all of my problems. It makes me feel happy , for example if I'm upset on game days as soon as I make the first hit a jolt of happiness rises and my effort gets a boost as well.

At school I try my best to actually understand the material rather than try to do make up work to get all A's. Although I push to make my GPA a 4.0. I  go to a local park close to my house and help younger kids work on their hand, footwork and athleticism

I want to attend the college that best fits me and helps me reach my goal which is to go to NFL. I want to be a role model to anyone chasing their dreams. I am open for opportunities to be great. I just want to make my family proud
