As a young boy I dreamed of playing college football. As I grew older, I realized my dreams could become reality because I kept growing and getting faster. I excelled in the weight room (300lbs Power Clings) which helped tremendously on the football field. I lettered my 9th grade year at a 4A school and started at defensive end for that same team (Kosciusko High School) my sophomore and junior year. We had mixed success during my three years, winning 10 games once and losing just as many another year. I think by being on both ends of the spectrum that it made me a more complete player. I now fully appreciate winning and realized that it becomes second nature when you work hard to attain your goals.
I moved in with my dad (30 miles away) upon the completion of my junior football season. This turned out to be a great move because not only did my new team (Choctaw County High School in Ackerman, MS, 3A classification) have a successful football season (10-3, 5-0), but my relationship with my dad grew stronger. I was awarded "All-Conference" for my play at Defensive End. I also was the punter. Although, my senior season is over, I have not stopped working out. I've continued to run, flip tires, and lift weight. I have this type of work ethic because it was instilled in me by my coaches and my dad.
In addition, I pitch and play first base for the baseball team.
