Personal Statement

I am on a mission!   Starting in junior high, I quickly figured out that I would have to work harder than everyone else, if I wanted to be better than everyone else. I go to every practice early and I am the last one to leave. I work out with my teammates and then I work out at home, on my own, ten times harder. I pass up the typical teenage social scene in order to make myself better, one day at a time. Each year I make goals for my weight, my work-out reps, and my skill level as a whole. Each year I meet my goals and surpass them. This past two seasons, I was named 2nd team all district.  I’ve poured my entire heart and soul into becoming an outstanding athlete over the past 6 years in hopes of playing at the next level.

I envision my college years to be yet another personal growth period. My academic goal is to explore a major that will position me to be a leader and give me a platform in order to further witness my Savior’s teachings and inspire others. On the field, I plan to be a dynamic impact player and to be a positive influence and encouragement to others. As I grow physically, mentally and spiritually throughout my college football career, I will strive to be an irreplaceable asset on the defense of your football team. I will always conduct myself with honor, dignity and respect; on and off the field; knowing that the way I carry myself reflects on my team, my coaches, my school and my family.
