Personal Statement

I am 17 years old and I have been interested in sports ever since I could walk, but football is my favorite.  My daddy says my first word was ball.  I love the game. It is a part of me. I want to play as long as I can at the highest level that I can.  I just need the opportunity.  I signed a scholarship to Southwest Mississippi Community College for baseball and football.  My mother and father were both good athletes (Daddy played JUCO football and Momma had JUCO softball offers). They are both super competitive and have instilled in me the need to work hard.  My work ethic is what sets me apart from other athletes at my school. I love to work out and run. I lift weights and condition with all three sports teams during the Summer.  I work on my snapping skills year around and at home and at school. I am a Eagle Scout and try to live my life by the characteristics that I have learned in scouting.  Hard work, loyalty, respect for authority, kindness to others and living with a sense of honor help me to become the best person I can be.  I am a student who is actively involved in working to stay in Phi Theta Kappa and keep my other academic scholarships in place.   I hope to use the gifts that God has given me to help  to continue to help my parents pay for college.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
