Cody McMullen '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello! I am a student-athlete who has dreamt of playing college football for as long as I can remember. Over the past decade, I have dedicated countless hours of intense training and preparation on the field as well as focus and commitment to my family, studies, and friends off the field. I am a leader by nature, which serves me well as a quarterback. My mom always tells me that I have an old soul and a very astute emotional intelligence. As a result, my teammates become my family and they quickly realize that I genuinely care about them more than just football players and more like brothers. Because I am able to bond so easily with my teammates, we are able to quickly reach a certain level of trust that is necessary to make magic happen out on the field. Another quality of mine that would benefit any college program is my poise. No matter what situation I am in, it could be fourth and forty, I remain collected with my eyes on the best opportunity to score. In the event, we don't get the outcome we were hoping for, whether that be a moment during the game or after, I am always the first player to coach up my teammates when they are down. Aside from my strong character, I also have a very strong work ethic and am constantly looking for ways to improve and expand my skill set.  Although I have consistently been a quarterback my whole life, I am a very versatile and coachable athlete. I have also played OLB, safety, receiver, and even kicker. A running joke in my family is that the only thing I haven't done on the field is throw a pass to myself for a TD! It is hard to believe the time has finally come for my dreams to start becoming a reality. I hope you can sense how committed I am to football and how dedicated I would be as a member of your team.
