Playing volleyball for six years through school, club, and sand seasons has helped me to become a well-rounded student-athlete by letting me have experiences only this sport can provide. The game is a very important part of my life and I am open to any opportunity to play at the collegiate level. Among the many teams I have been a part of, I was chosen by my teammates and coaches as captain in addition to MVP every year. The influential roles I've acquired are a result of my dedication in not only improving myself for this sport of volleyball, but also because I will do anything for the betterment of teammates both in and out of the gym. By having more responsibility from season to season, it has greatly developed my leadership skills, mental strength, and character. These qualities have been influential in many aspects of my life, especially in the classroom. Pushing myself every year by taking challenging courses has benefitted my academic success greatly through multiple awards I have received.
In college, it is my hope that I can continue the work paved throughout high school by being involved as much as possible. Playing volleyball in college would be an incredible highlight in furthuring my education, allowing me to represent a school I am proud to be a part of and create lasting friendships. Witnessing the USA Women's Olympic Team's unity and unique passion for the game of volleyball at the London 2012 Olympic Games has inspired me ever since I was twelve years old to play for my coaches, teammates, and parents because they are the reason I am able to do what I love from season to season. I believe that my work-ethic, drive, and coachability can enable me to succeed on a college team by having a great impact on your program.
