Personal Statement

Transfer profile:  (I have my permission to talk/release form attached on my profile)

My college football career did not start off any where close to what I thought it was going to be.  No one trains harder in the off season and pushes themselves harder then I do to be the best he/she can be.  In the classroom, on the football field, and life in general.  So when the season came around last August, I thought all things were lining up for me.   Then when I reported to camp, I never thought in a million years I would be spending my first few days before school in the hospital.   Due to those medical reasons, I wasn't release to play till the end of October, way to late to try to use my freshman eligibility.   Even though I continued to train during those fall months, I knew I needed to do what I could, and also excel in the classroom, which I have done.  I love my current school, I love my professors, and I love football.   I always thought when I went to college I needed that college to be like home for me, again, in the classroom and on the football field.  And as much as I felt great in the classroom, which by the way my academics mean everything to me, and have done very well this year, I never really felt at home with the current football program.  That isn't a knock against William Jewell's football program.  I really believe it might have been me being in the hospital at the early start, never settling in,  and everything that happened around that as the reason for this just not being the right fit.  I know a fresh start is exactly what is needed for me.

My Senior year profile:

My main focus since 6th grade has been to become the best athlete I can possibly be.  Then go on to play Division 1 Football or at the highest possible level I can, at a great academic University, and help that team win a National Championship, while also preparing me academically for my life after football.   I welcome without a doubt for you to talk to my personal trainer I have had since 6th grade,  and my current off season football trainer and Ex NFL running back,  along with my high school Coaches I have, and ask about my character, work ethic, and the ability I have to be an asset to your Football Program and your School.

When I become a member of your Football Program and University you will find no harder worker in and out of season, both on and off the field, then any other recruit you will have.  I strive on and welcome the work that it takes to become the best football player, student, and individual that I can and need to be.  You will find an individual who believes in the 5 C's of being a Great Athlete and team member.  1: Coachable.  2. Committed.  3. Compete  4. Contribute and 5. Communication   You will also be getting an individual that doesn't like to lose his focus on what is important to him.  I will not be one that you have to worry about, or have to keep an eye on making sure I am doing what I should be doing, again on and off the field.  Those who know me say I am weight room and training rat as that is what I love to do in my free time preparing myself for the football season. You will find no other recruit that will be more loyal to you, your Coaches, the Football Program, my teammates, and the University.  I hold Family close to my heart, and I consider the University I will attend as my extended family.   I have been nominated by the faculty and administration 2 years on representing our high school at a couple of different leadership camps.  I want to bring that leadership to you, the team, and the University.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
