Starting football in 4th grade really changed my thoughts on what I wanted to do in my future. It helped me to realize that I can push myself more than what I thought. When I was younger, I struggled with my behavior. Football helped by teaching me more self control. I use to get upset at everything I did, but my coaches and parents always encouraged me to keep pushing myself and not to give up so easily. This in turn kept me going, and allowed me to keep competing.
I want to play at the next level because I embrace the challenge. I love the feeling of success but then again who doesn't? My goal is to compete and get better at what I love to do. Moving up to the next level would give me the best opportunity to do so. I also enjoy being around people that enjoy the same things. Being around teammates and coaches, helping each other become better. When you can help some one else improve on their play and help them with whatever else they need, that is a blessing.
Team sports provide you with opportunities to grow and develop on and off the field. It is good for maturing and bonding because football is more like a brotherhood. Being on a football team is challenging, but that's the fun part about football. These reasons are why I don't want to end my football career in high school and why I'm trying to make it to the next level.
