My name is Richard Stanzione, Class of 2016, and since I was 4 years old my life consists of preparing to play college football. This not only includes playing and training, but by building strong moral and ethical standards; by being a National Honor Student; by practicing a Catholic lifestyle; and by selectively associating with family and friends who encourage me and set the bar in life very high. I am a leader on and off the field by actions and results, not by words or false pretenses.
You will NOT find me at large parties or associated with any individual or group that are disrespectful, ambivalent, consume illegal chemicals or alcohol, and are not motivated to improve themselves or their families and friends.
I strive to not just be the best I can be, but to be the best in all my endeavors. Even when I win a game or get a 100 on a test, I still push myself to understand what else I can be doing to constantly improve myself. What I do, how I live, what you see, is what I am down to my core. I am confident in my abilities, and yet understand my weaknesses. This helps me focus on my training and makes me very coachable.
I have respect for all peoples, and find myself appreciative of our military and first responders, but also of our educators, social workers and those who help others as well as those who work every day to overcome challenges. I am thankful for what God and my parents have provided for me. I know that at this point in my life, it is up to me to make the right decisions as I transition to college and being the man I strive to be.
I thank everyone who has taken the time to read this and to learn a little more about me. I am truthful in all my representations as I am truthful to myself. Since I am strong in my convictions as to “what you see, is what you get,” I respectfully request that as a coach and educator, you provide me with the opportunity to have a personal meeting, a workout or any test you feel is necessary to understand my full capabilities to your team, school, teammates, students, and alumni, and media.
