Coming from a small town in a rural area made sports beyond high school seem unattainable. However, as I completed my sophomore year and was noted as the “Best DE in the section,” followed by also having the most sacks in the section, college ball felt achievable. Coming into my Junior year at 6’3 and growing, I have set my goals to keep playing this game that I love well beyond high school.
What makes me a good candidate for any team is my dedication to my teammates, coaches, and to myself. As a junior, I'm a captain along with my seniors co-captains, which is incredible as more than half of my team are starting seniors. It's a big honor. I believe my coaches see in me a strong work ethic and a need to always be better.
Versatility is what makes me different from other recruits. Being from a small school, I have been asked to play almost every position. In doing this, I can empathize with my teammates as I understand the struggle of all the positions. This helps me as a leader and a player. Additionally, from this experience I have gained an enormous level of stamina, as my only break is usually half time. All of this pushes me to do better for myself and my teammates.
