Personal Statement
How are you doing coach my name is Artie Padilla jr this year I will complete my Senior year at Moore Catholic High School in Staten Island in June 2020. I am a Physical, Strong instinctive Middle Linebacker with a great motor (5’10 225). My readiness and physical nature allows me to play at a high level I have the versatility to play MLB, and OLB. I am ready to make an immediate impact in your program I sent you my game film already and hope you had a chance to go over it and will appreciate any feed back you might have going to college has always been a dream of mine, I would be the first out of my 5 male siblings (5 boys,3 girls)or even my parents to attend college. Attending Moore Catholic showed me to how focus on my grades more than ever. I started to realize you always need a back up plan in life just in case sports doesn’t work out. I started became more of a student not just an athlete. Every year at Moore my average in the classroom has been increasing. I went from a 70 average to an 82 to an 86 I even achieved national honors society recognition. In the Middle of my freshman year lost our apartment and we lived in a shelter in queens. Living in that shelter and traveling to Staten Island by train every morning at 4 am taught me nothing comes easy in life if you want to do something you have to work for it. I’m the oldest boy in my family I changed my ways to become more of a role model to my younger siblings to lead by example, by accepting me into your football program and school you will get a hard working student who has something to prove to his family , the world and that is you don’t always have to follow the path that was made for you, you can choose a path of your own and create your own greatness
