christian gonzalez '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Christian Gonzalez. I go by CJ mainly. I am a WR offensively and a CB/S defensively. I am a 6'0 200lb transfer athlete. I am a fast paced powerful player. I run hard, fast, sharp routes and can make plays with my ball skills and speed. I have the speed, athleticism, and shiftiness of a wide receiver and the power and strength of a running back, which will cause a huge threat to defenses across any level of football. With my size, build, athleticism, speed and power, I believe I would make a significant contribution to the team. Together we would be able to dominate teams with hard fast runs to the outside or up the middle. We could run sharp routes and use my strong hands and ball skills to make the open catch, the tough catches in traffic, or I can use my great athleticism to catch over defenders. On defense I hit hard, can make fast reads on receivers and the field well,  make plays on the ball carrier and disrupt the pass and run game defensively. My versatility on both sides of the ball differentiates me from other recruits because I played many different positions in my 13 years of playing the game I love, which has contributed to me being an alert, proactive, well-rounded player. I can run through people like a running back and make plays on the ball with the pass game as a receiver with my routes, strong hands and speed. I could be an overall threat on both sides of the ball no matter what level of football I play.  I have always believed in team work and work to set up my running backs up with open run lanes as a receiver with my blocking ability and constantly attempt to motivate and encourage my teammates as best as I can.  My main goals for my athletic and academic career are to hopefully transfer to a Division 1-AA or a Division 2 school. Academically I currently study finance and wish to continue to pursue that throughout the rest of my college career. I am an extremely motivated, hard working person on and off the field and I always strive to follow my dreams and get better at what I do and perfect my craft every single day.
